The collaboration between SRM and Assoporti (Association of Italian Ports) continues with the new issue of Port Infographics. This Report illustrates - through 10 infographics - the effects that recent geopolitical events are having on global economic growth and international trade.

The infographics highlight how tariff policies and ongoing conflicts in Europe are already reshaping the geography of world trade, changing routes, volumes and destinations of goods. At the same time, they identify the areas of the world that, in terms of manufacturing dynamism and export capacity, show the most promising prospects for the development of containerised traffic.

A specific focus is dedicated on the Mediterranean basin, where the most competitive countries and ports with the best performance and highest levels of maritime connectivity are analysed.

Finally, the usual in-depth analysis of Italy updates the data on national ports, goods and passengers to the first six months of 2025, thus offering a complete and up-to-date picture of the positioning of the Italian port system in the international context.
